I was pleased to be approached by Stonewood Homes to collaborate on design inspiration for your new home. With inspirational looks, we have come up with designs that consider the different climate, lifestyle and characters of the North and South Islands. I can now help you recreate these looks in your new Stonewood Home.

My inspiration for the North Island colours came from its exquisite beaches, warm climate and diverse cultures.
The homes are open and airy with lots of natural light. The fabrics I used on the windows are soft and light.
My palette draws on the natural beauty of New Zealand timber, polished concrete, textures and soft colours that enhance the natural beauty of the North Island landscape. with clean lines and little fuss.
Upholstery fabrics and cushions are richly textured with a mix of subtle patterns layered to add interest and colour without overwhelming the rooms.
The kitchen joinery is plywood with feature colours to add interest, but still be durable and easy to clean.
I have used light coloured tiles for the En Suite with textured stones for the base of the shower to reinforce the feeling of the beaches.
The main bathroom has a combination of tile and timber again to affirm the beach theme in this home.
In the bedrooms I have used soft floaty colours.
This home creates the feeling of sanctuary and retreat.
My design inspiration for the South Island colour boards came from it’s wide open skies, high mountains and lush bush.
The South Island has a colder climate which allows us to retreat to the warm and luxury of our homes.
The fabrics I have used are thick and luxurious, adding warmth and cosiness to the rooms.
This colour palette draws on the natural beauty of the South Island landscapes with warmer tones and colours. I have given a nod to Mid- Century styling, in the furniture and patterns I have used.
The kitchen joinery is has clean uncluttered lines and easy care finishes.
The En Suite has a timeless Carrara marble tiles for the floor and walls, with black or bronze fixtures to add interest and contrast.
The main bathroom has a sheet metal type tile with black fixtures to give a semi industrial look to the room.
In the bedrooms I have used layered colours and textures to make the rooms feel cosy and inviting.
