Vault On George Timaru

The conversion of this former Timaru BNZ Bank  into an inner-city apartment was an exciting project.

I've have always had a passion for industrial design, and I enjoy seeing form and function work cohesively together. Every item was designed with my client John's style in mind. From the shelves and doors, through to the poured concrete kitchen island. We wanted to create an industrial design that gave a nod to the age and beauty of the former bank. Including keeping the exposed poured concrete ceilings, bank vaults and ducting.

The steel plate wallpaper from Andrew Martin  in the main entrance added to this industrial design. The exterior of the apartment was given an aged steel product to add to its sense of age and timelessness.
